About ISEA

Members of the Indiana Society of Enrolled Agents represent a diverse group of Tax Professionals licensed by the United States Department of Treasure and authorized to practice in all States and are national recognized as American Elite Tax Experts.

Members offer Professional tax preparation services for individuals, sole proprietors, corporation, partnership, LLC, trust, non-profit and estate.

Most all members’ services include audit representation and tax problem resolution services such as Offer-In-Compromise, installment agreement and petition for abatement of penalties.

Many members’ practices also include investment, financial and insurance product offerings, financial planning, bookkeeping, payroll, and accounting services.

The Indiana Society of Enrolled Agents is the state affiliate of the National Association of Enrolled Agents. Members are required to complete a minimum of 30 hours of continuing education annually in the field of taxation or related matters, which surpasses the minimum Internal Revenue Service requirement.

Enrolled Agents (EAs) are the “Elite” federally licensed tax professionals, and are bound by ethical standards contained in U.S. Department of Treasury circular 230, the regulations governing practice before the Internal Revenue Service. The Enrolled Agent credential allows the professional the unlimited ability to represent any taxpayers before all administrative levels of the Internal Revenue Service.

In order to attain the EA credential, the individual must undergo an extensive background investigation and demonstrate technical competency in the field of taxation. He/she has passed an extensive tax law examination given by the Internal Revenue Service, or worked for the Agency for several years in a capacity involving the application of tax law. As a result of the difficulty in passing the examination Enrolled Agents are widely recognized as “America’s Tax Experts”.
